According to The Sun: The Finnish city of Oulu has been named a 'potential cultural capital of Europe 2026' according to the Not Hot List 2026 by Intrepid. This city is famous for its unusual events, including the World Air Guitar Championship, and attracts tourists with its originality.

“Situated on the delta of the Oulujoki River and surrounded by pristine nature, Oulu experiences all four seasons,” states Intrepid.

The easiest way to reach Oulu is by flying from Helsinki, with ticket prices starting at £44. In summer, temperatures can reach 20°C, while the coldest month is January, when the thermometer can drop to -15°C.
