Man Ran Over TCS Soldier's Legs - Court Verdict

The Kovel City District Court issued a verdict to an entrepreneur who ran over a TCS employee with a Renault Master vehicle. During a check of military record documents, the accused got behind the wheel of the van and reversed, running over the legs of the serviceman. He was sentenced to one year of probation.

According to the court, the incident occurred on May 8, 2025, in the village of Dubove, Kovel District. At about 10:10 AM, TCS employees stopped the driver of the Renault Master for a check of military record documents. The man behind the wheel of the van reversed, hit the serviceman's mirror, and ran over his legs.

As a result of the accident, the victim sustained bruises to both thighs, which are considered minor bodily injuries. The driver of the vehicle entered into an agreement with the prosecutor acknowledging his guilt.

The judge found the driver guilty under Part 2 of Article 350 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (threat or violence against a public official or citizen performing a public duty). However, he was released from the main punishment and sentenced to one year of probation. The decision can still be appealed in the appellate court.

Recently, in Kirovohrad region, a man was tried for receiving three summons but evading mobilization.

Previously, in Cherkasy, during a document check, a man attempted to take TCS employees hostage.

The incident that occurred in the village of Dubove, Kovel District serves as an important reminder of the necessity to obey traffic rules and respect officials. The man's negligence led to an accident for which he was sentenced to one year of probation. Such cases highlight the importance of responsibility for every participant in road traffic for their actions.
