Volodymyr Bilyovtsov, the widower, was given a five-year prison sentence, but its execution was suspended with a two-year probationary period. The fatal collision occurred on January 24, 2025. Bilyovtsov was driving a Lexus LX 450d at a speed exceeding 110 km/h (approximately 68 mph). The crash also claimed the life of Anna Zhuk's 9-year-old son, who sustained severe injuries. The driver of the other vehicle involved, a Renault Premium 420 truck, suffered moderate bodily injuries.
