Court Delivers Verdict in Anna Zhuk Case
According to Novyny.live: The husband of blogger Anna Zhuk, who died in a car accident, has been convicted. Volodymyr Bilyovtsov, the widower, was given a five-year prison sentence, but its execution was suspended with a two-year probationary period. This case has drawn significant public attention in Ukraine, highlighting issues of road safety and judicial accountability.
The fatal collision occurred on January 24, 2025. Bilyovtsov was driving a Lexus LX 450d at a speed exceeding 110 km/h (approximately 68 mph). The crash also claimed the life of Anna Zhuk's 9-year-old son, who sustained severe injuries. The driver of the other vehicle involved, a Renault Premium 420 truck, suffered moderate bodily injuries.

The court found the Lexus driver guilty under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. A public farewell for Anna Zhuk was held in Kharkiv on January 26, 2025. The tragedy of the young woman and her child resonated deeply, sparking national grief and debate.
