Ukrainian producers have set a historic record for sugar exports. They shipped 746.3 thousand tons of products to foreign markets worth $419 million. This is reported by the National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine ('Ukrtsukor').
'This is the highest level of sugar exports for a calendar year according to statistics that began in 1997 when the National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine ('Ukrtsukor') was established,' the statement noted.
It is noted that 40% of exports in 2024 were sent to European Union countries, while 60% were exported to the global market.
Among the main purchasing countries of Ukrainian sugar on the global market were MENA (Middle East and North Africa) countries and North Macedonia.
