Attacks on Russia's Defense Industry

According to UATV: A series of long-range strikes targeting Russia's defense sector has severely disrupted its ability to manufacture ammunition and missiles. According to Andriy Kovalenko, this is significantly hampering Moscow's capacity to sustain its war effort. On March 19, Kovalenko reported growing difficulties in Russian ammunition production, noting that over the past month, several critical facilities essential for manufacturing munitions have come under attack.

Key Industrial Sites Hit

At least five chemical plants in Russia have been struck, along with microelectronics manufacturers and the Votkinsk Plant, a facility specializing in missile production—including the 'Iskander' system. These targeted operations have created bottlenecks throughout the supply chain.

“As a result of successful deep strikes, the enemy is gradually facing specific challenges in producing warheads for various types of munitions, including missiles.”

These production setbacks are now affecting frontline logistics. According to the expert, “this disrupts the supply of equipment to the front and, consequently, throws Russian plans for troop provisioning into disarray.” Kovalenko further emphasized that “the only effective way to stop Russia is to stop its military-industrial complex.”

These developments highlight how sustained strikes on defense infrastructure can directly impact battlefield operations and Russia's strategic options in the conflict.

The evidence suggests that hitting key industrial sites could substantially weaken Russia's military potential. Disruptions in ammunition and missile production may delay or complicate the delivery of weapons to the front line, potentially altering the course of hostilities. Such changes in the defense industry could become a decisive factor in the conflict's further escalation and the strategic calculus of both sides.
