Deadly Assault on Kramatorsk

According to UATV: On July 18, Russian forces launched an attack on the city of Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region, killing two civilians and injuring one. The assault involved the release of three aerial bombs over the city. Donetsk regional head Vadym Filashkin reported the incident, stating:

“Two people were killed and one wounded as a result of strikes on Kramatorsk. The Russians dropped three aerial bombs on the city. Another attack has claimed the lives of innocent people. Civilian infrastructure has been damaged.”

Ongoing Threats Across Donetsk Region

Filashkin also highlighted that Russian troops continue to target the Donetsk region with a range of weaponry, including aerial bombs, artillery, and drones.

“The enemy is striking across the entire Donetsk region with aerial bombs, artillery, and drones—using every weapon at their disposal. Cities and villages, residential areas, vehicles, and civilian infrastructure come under fire daily,”
he added.

This attack on Kramatorsk is part of a broader campaign in which Russian forces deliberately target civilian sites to harm the local population. “The Russians are consciously striking where people live. Their goal is to kill, maim, and turn every ordinary day into a tragedy,” Filashkin emphasized. The situation in Donetsk remains critical, with constant threats endangering civilians.

The Kramatorsk strike underscores the ongoing Russian aggression against Ukrainian cities, putting countless civilian lives at risk. The use of diverse weaponry signals an escalation in the conflict and a heightened focus on destroying infrastructure. Repeated assaults on civilian targets indicate that the region will remain under severe pressure, with residents continuing to bear the devastating consequences of war.
