Where the richest pensioners are: ranking of regions in Ukraine by the amount of payouts.
Ukraine has significant regional inequalities in the amount of pension payments: individuals living in the capital and industrial regions receive significantly higher pensions compared to the western regions of the country.
This trend reflects the historical features of economic development in different parts of Ukraine and the level of wages, which influence the amount of pension payments.
According to the Pension Fund of Ukraine as of April 1, 2025, the highest pensions are recorded in Kyiv, where the average payout is 8,708 hryvnias.
Among the leaders from the regions are also Donetsk region with a payment of 7,814 hryvnias, Luhansk - 7,314 hryvnias, Dnipropetrovsk - 7,082 hryvnias, and Kyiv region - 6,671 hryvnias.
The western regions of Ukraine are on the opposite side of the ranking. Residents of Ternopil region have the lowest pension payments - only 4,931 hryvnias. Chernivtsi region - 5,100 hryvnias and Transcarpathia - 5,175 hryvnias.
