Ukrainian Forces Secure Multiple Settlements in the Orikhiv Sector
According to UATV: On March 2, Ukraine's Air Assault Forces reported the liberation of nine settlements in the Orikhiv sector. As of now, three of these settlements have been fully cleared of enemy forces. The assault troops are continuing active offensive operations in the region, aimed at further territorial gains. The Orikhiv sector has been a focal point of Ukraine's southern counteroffensive efforts.
'As of now, nine settlements have been liberated. Three settlements have been cleared of the enemy in our zone, and work is currently underway to liberate several more,' stated representatives of the Air Assault Forces.
The operation is ongoing, with military forces executing a systematic and determined push to dislodge the enemy from fortified positions.
During the operation, the unit noted that
- precision and massed strikes are destroying enemy personnel,
- weaponry,
- and military and specialized equipment.
The capture of these nine settlements marks a significant step in the ongoing conflict, demonstrating an intensification of Ukrainian offensive actions. Further dislodgement of the enemy from fortified positions could substantially alter the situation in the region, improving Ukraine's control over strategically important territories. Maintaining stability in the recaptured areas is also a critical focus, as ensuring the safety of the local population remains a priority for military forces.
