Discredits before international partners. The state authority punished a famous general in court.
The Pechersk District Court of Kyiv decided to consider the case of the State Audit Office against General Serhiy Kryvonos regarding the protection of his business reputation. The court found that the general provided misleading information in live broadcasts and interviews, which discredited the State Audit Office before its international partners. Therefore, the court requires the general to refute this information. In addition, the court imposed fines on the general and the channel 'Pramyj' for the moral damage and court costs incurred.
According to the general, the State Audit Office discloses sensitive information, which aids the occupiers. He also claims that the auditors prominently highlighted details about enterprises in the defense sector. However, the court deemed these statements to be false and discrediting to the State Audit Office.
Judgment of the Court
The Pechersk District Court of Kyiv reviewed the case and decided that General Serhiy Kryvonos must refute the false information that he provided in live broadcasts and interviews.
The court also imposed fines on the general and the channel 'Pramyj' for the moral damage and court costs of the State Audit Office.
This decision can be appealed to the appellate court within 30 days.
