Kryvonos on Tomahawk for Ukraine: Why This is Information Provocation.

Significance of Tomahawk Missiles and Their Availability

According to ТСН: In Ukraine, there are launch facilities for Tomahawk missiles, but most of them are intended for maritime use. As for ground launch facilities, there are very few - only on the territory of South Korea and the Philippines.

This opinion was expressed by Major General of the Reserve of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Serhiy Kryvonos, in a broadcast on 'Espresso'. He noted:

“As for the provision of Tomahawks, where should they be launched from? This is an information provocation that primarily absolves our leaders from responsibility, who say: ‘We were not given Tomahawks, therefore we cannot win’. Secondly, the Tomahawk missiles that exist in the USA are mainly for maritime use. From which sea should we launch them? And the ground launch facilities for Tomahawks that exist can be counted on one hand. Everything else is maritime use. Therefore, the stories about Tomahawks are worthless.”

The General also added that if there had been enough Tomahawk missiles and they were actually a successful weapon, their number after the end of the Cold War should not have been less than 500.

He emphasized:

“It is not about Tomahawks; we are once again being fed a 'candy' about wonder weapons. We have already heard this about Leopard, Abrams, F-16. The Tomahawk issue is an information manipulation that the Ukrainian and global society falls for. In reality, the most powerful weapon of the USA is to enhance interaction, as Ronald Reagan once did, to lower the price of oil. There was hysteria in Russia when the oil price fell below $25, but now it has risen back to $52. President Trump profits from it, not the USA, as the country has clearly shown that its position, the position of the American political elite, does not align with that of Trump, which must also be understood. A large number of senators, both from the Republican and Democratic parties, have a different viewpoint and have seriously limited President Trump in his dreams of cooperation with Russia.”

It should also be mentioned that some experts believe that the Ukrainian cruise missile FP-5 “Flamingo” has better properties compared to the American “Tomahawk” and presents a significant advantage, as its use does not require permission from allies.

Thus, it can be concluded from the statements of Major General Kryvonos that the availability of Tomahawk missiles for Ukraine remains questionable and the actual capabilities of Ukraine in rocket technologies can be realized through domestic developments. It is emphasized that strategic decisions on armament should be based on realistic capabilities and needs, not on information manipulations that can mislead society.
