«Dnipropetrovsk region needs to be prepared now». The Third Assault Brigade made an alarming statement.
Major of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Deputy Commander of the Third Assault Brigade Maksym Zhorin noted that it is necessary to start preparing the Dnipropetrovsk region for defense today. He reported this on Telegram.
«We cannot constantly move from city to city and simultaneously prepare these cities for defense. All this needs to be planned and a strong defense line needs to be built in advance. We cannot wait until the front reaches the next settlement», wrote Zhorin.
According to him, in connection with the situation in Selydove and Pokrovsk, the Dnipropetrovsk region «needs to be prepared now and this process controlled».
Slowdown of Russian troops
Recently, the Russian army has achieved some success in capturing the city of Selydove and the surrounding territories in the Donetsk region. However, the main direction of their movement is southwards, which slows down their advance towards Pokrovsk, reports the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
The report notes that the proximity of Russian troops to Selydove and territorial gains around the city may force defense forces to withdraw their troops from this area to avoid encirclement.
In the Donetsk region, near Selydove, Russian troops committed another war crime by shooting two Ukrainian soldiers.
