Russian military planes are making secret flights to Tehran: what they are transporting from Iran.
According to ТСН: Since the onset of mass protests in Iran, which threaten the regime of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Russian military transport planes have begun to regularly fly to Tehran.
According to a specialized publication, Russian Il-76TD planes, under the guise of civilian aircraft, have been making flights from Mineralnye Vody to Tehran, bypassing NATO-controlled airspace, flying over the Caucasus.
The publication notes that the repeated use of the same planes and the priority of speed and reliability of transportation over economic efficiency indicate a deliberate activity.
“The decision to make numerous flights instead of a single consolidated transport of goods corresponds to the doctrine of military logistics,” the publication states.
Analysts believe that Russia may be providing military-technical support to its strategic partner in the region and preparing for the evacuation of the supreme leader of Iran along with his closest aides. It is assumed that Russian military transport planes could be transporting the ayatollah's gold out of the country.
The publication also mentioned that Russia previously helped evacuate dictator Bashar Assad from Syria.
It is noted that a wave of anti-government protests swept through Iran at the end of December, fueled by a deep economic crisis and a sharp decline in the local currency's exchange rate.
According to estimates by human rights organizations, the protests have become truly nationwide: unrest has been recorded in more than 270 settlements covering 27 of the country's 31 provinces.
Iranian protesters have taken control of two cities in the west of the country. At the same time, opponents of the ayatollah regime have reached out for help from U.S. President Donald Trump.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has called on citizens to leave the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran due to the deteriorating security situation in the country.
The situation in Iran remains tense, and the protests sweeping the country could lead to unpredictable consequences. Support from abroad and the security situation are important aspects of the evolving events that should be closely monitored. It is also crucial to consider the state of human rights in the region, as numerous protests against the authorities indicate deep social problems.
