According to Novyny.live: As Russia's war against Ukraine enters its 1,447th day, Ukrainian forces continue to repel intense Russian assaults. On February 9, 2023, a total of 312 combat engagements were recorded, highlighting the high level of frontline activity. Russian forces launched two missile strikes using 11 missiles and conducted 65 airstrikes, deploying 148 guided aerial bombs. The Ukrainian defense also faced a significant threat from approximately 3,960 one-way attack drones, presenting a persistent tactical challenge.
Ukrainian positions endured a total of 2,741 artillery shellings, including 104 strikes from multiple launch rocket systems. Across various sectors of the front, Russian units attempted numerous breakthrough operations. Specifically:
- On the South-Slobozhanske axis — 8 attempts;
- On the Kupiansk axis — 14 attacks;
- On the Lyman axis — 22 breakthrough attempts;
- On the Kostiantynivka axis — 32 attacks.
Ukrainian units on the Pokrovsk axis successfully repelled 72 enemy assault actions, demonstrating their combat readiness and effectiveness. Other sectors remained active, with 29 combat clashes occurring on the Huliaipole axis. Over the course of the day, the Russian army sustained significant losses, with 1,250 of its personnel eliminated. The Pokrovsk sector has recently become a focal point of Russia's offensive pressure, aiming to stretch Ukrainian defenses.
The frontline situation remains tense, and the actions of both sides could significantly influence the conflict's trajectory. Ukrainian forces continue to fortify their defenses in response to threats from Russian troops.
