Zelensky Confirmed the Exchange of Prisoners of War Between Ukraine and Russia
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky officially confirmed the exchange of prisoners of war between Ukraine and Russia. He noted that 95 Ukrainians returned home.
"95 of our people are home again. Warriors who defended Mariupol and Azovstal, Donetsk region, Luhansk region, Kharkiv region, Kyiv region, Chernihiv region, Kherson region," wrote the President in his Telegram.
Zelensky also emphasized that every Time Ukraine rescues its people from Russian captivity, we bring closer the day when freedom will be returned to everyone who is in Russian custody.
"Thanks to the team that is engaged in searching and liberating prisoners. We are doing everything to extract all our people detained by Russia. Gratitude to the warriors who replenish the exchange fund and all partners who help," emphasized the head of state.
Butkevich: Released Human Rights Defender, Journalist, Activist, and Co-Founder of the Human Rights Center ZMINA
By the way, the human rights defender, journalist, activist, and co-founder of the Human Rights Center ZMINA Maksym Butkevytch was released from Russian captivity on October 18. His father reported this to ZMINA.
Let us recall, the Coordinating Headquarters reported today that the bodies of 501 fallen defenders were returned to Ukraine as a result of repatriation measures.
It also became known that in the Bakhmut direction, Russian invaders shot, presumably, a wounded serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who was captured by them, law enforcement officers have begun an investigation.
