Change in the meeting format of Trump and Putin
Just minutes before the summit in Alaska, the White House announced that a one-on-one conversation between Putin and Trump would not take place. It is worth noting that the day before, Donald Trump expressed his expectations from the conversation with Putin and warned under what circumstances he was ready to halt negotiations.
Additionally, the U.S. president made a statement regarding an immediate ceasefire in Ukraine right after the summit.
