Support for Mykolaiv Region - What has changed in the 4th year of war.
International partners continue to provide support to Mykolaiv, although the overall amount of aid is slightly decreasing. Currently, Denmark, Germany, and other donors are particularly actively investing in this region. According to the report by the head of Mykolaiv OVA, Vitaliy Kim, projects totaling €320 million are planned to be implemented by 2029, which will be secured by foreign investors.
“We are working systematically. We have clear plans until 2029. Only from Denmark, €320 million will be allocated. We intend to shift from humanitarian and social projects to economic ones to help the region rise from the ruins,” emphasized Vitaliy Kim.
The local authorities are actively working on improving the business climate and increasing tax revenues to the budget. It should be noted that recently Mykolaiv has been shelled and ports have been attacked, so every bit of aid and investment is particularly important for the development of the region.
In December 2021, the head of Mykolaiv OVA, Vitaliy Kim, reported that despite the overall decrease in international aid, cooperation with key partners in the region continues and plans are to develop further. It was noted that foreign investors are actively funding projects in the Mykolaiv region, which will contribute to the economic recovery of the area, increase business activity, and ensure safety in the region.
