According to ТСН: US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff reported significant progress in negotiations with the Ukrainian delegation in Berlin, which were dedicated to a peace plan for Ukraine.
His statement mentions that the meeting, involving President Zelensky, Witkoff, Jared Kushner, and delegations from the US and Ukraine, lasted more than five hours.
"The representatives held in-depth discussions on the 20-point peace plan, economic agenda, and more. Significant progress was made, and they will meet again tomorrow morning"
According to media reports, negotiations between the Ukrainian and American sides regarding the peace plan will continue on Monday.
It is currently unknown which specific proposals were discussed at this meeting. However, the US government believes that there are chances for success in the Berlin negotiations, as Donald Trump has sent a delegation to Germany.
It should be noted that President Zelensky emphasized that the main topic of discussion in Berlin will be finding ways to end Russia's war against Ukraine and possible parameters for future agreements.
These negotiations taking place in Berlin highlight the importance of international dialogue for restoring peace in Ukraine. The duration of the meeting and the willingness of both sides to continue discussions indicate the seriousness of the intentions of both the Ukrainian and American delegations. Hopes for positive outcomes may open new horizons for future negotiations.
