Confirmation Required: Poland Introduced Important Requirement for Students.

Students in Poland are now required to confirm their language proficiency in order to obtain education in Polish universities. This new regulation aims to combat the misuse of student visas and raise educational standards.

Now, foreign students must have proof of their language skills at the B2 level or higher, both for the Polish language and for the language of the educational program. Thus, Polish universities are obliged to have no more than 50% foreign students out of the total number, and educational institutions that violate this quota may lose the right to admit foreigners.

Polish universities are also required to conduct more thorough checks on the documents submitted by prospective students from abroad. Moreover, the application for temporary residence and work permits is restricted for individuals with certain visa categories, including student visas.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Henrika Moszycka-Dendys, emphasized the need to streamline the visa system and noted that foreigners wishing to study in Poland must demonstrate knowledge of the language of instruction.

These measures are aimed at improving the quality of education and preventing the misuse of student visas. They may also enhance the country's reputation as a reliable partner for international education and attract more serious and motivated students.
