Drones attacked the Syzran Oil Refinery in the Samara region
On the night of February 19, unidentified drones attacked the Syzran oil refinery (refinery) in the Samara region.
According to the governor of the Samara region, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, emergency services are working at the enterprise's territory after the drone attack.
Witnesses reported that after the drone attack on the Syzran Refinery, flames began to engulf it. At least two explosions were also heard, local residents reported.
The airports of Kazan, Nizhnekamsk, Ulyanovsk, Kirov, and Izhevsk temporarily suspended their operations for safety reasons, according to Rosaviation.
The Syzran oil refinery, owned by PJSC NK 'Rosneft', is a fuel enterprise. This plant has already suffered an attack in March 2024.
