The family and daughter of a Ukrainian soldier were brutally killed in Europe.

A horrifying tragedy occurred in Haasrode, where a Ukrainian woman and her young daughter died as a result of a fire and stab wounds. Rescue services quickly arrived at the scene after smoke was detected coming from the windows and found the bodies of the woman and child. The police have launched an investigation aimed at finding those responsible for this horrific tragedy.

Acting Mayor Frans Van Bisschop expressed condolences to the family and noted: 'This is a terrible tragedy for the community.'
