Ukraine's State Emergency Service Conducts Extensive Rescue Training
According to Espreso.tv: Personnel from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU) took part in comprehensive exercises covering a wide range of critical tasks. These included:
- locating and evacuating victims
- suppressing fires
- containing oil product spills
- performing aeromedical evacuations
- clearing water areas of mines
The drills made use of modern equipment such as helicopters, An-32P aircraft, rescue boats, jet skis, and drones.
New Mobile Rapid Response Center Unveiled
During the exercises, the SESU introduced a Mobile Rapid Response Center for unmanned systems. This initiative highlights the agency's commitment to integrating cutting-edge technology into rescue operations.
Ihor Klymenko, who observed the drills, stated: 'What has been accomplished — both technically and technologically — shows we have moved forward.'
Additionally, the SESU has trained new pilots, technicians, and crews for sea and river vessels, demonstrating ongoing workforce development in the rescue field. This represents a significant step toward improving emergency response effectiveness, which can greatly enhance public safety.
These exercises reflect the SESU's active efforts to adopt new technologies and upgrade personnel training, ultimately aiming to raise the overall safety level in Ukraine. As the country faces growing challenges, efficient emergency response becomes increasingly vital, and such initiatives can substantially strengthen the organization's ability to address potential threats.
