Duda and Rutte insist: Zelensky must restore relations with Trump for peace.

The President of Poland called on Zelensky to resume negotiations with Trump
President Andrzej Duda urged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to resume negotiations with the United States and personally with President Donald Trump. According to the Polish leader, only the US has enough capabilities to counter Russian aggression.
"It is necessary to return to the negotiating table. President Zelensky must sit at it and agree on solutions that will make Ukraine safe," the office of the President of Poland reported on the social media platform X.
Duda revealed that he discussed this issue with Zelensky before his visit to Washington last week. "I conveyed to him that, in my opinion, he should calmly engage in negotiations with President Trump, and you should seek an agreement, a common solution," noted the President of Poland.
The Polish leader emphasized that since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022, "no one knows how to stop this aggression." "US President Donald Trump decided to make this attempt. I see no other force in the world, except the US, capable of stopping Russian aggression. Their capabilities are incomparable," Duda stressed.
According to him, Poland is interested in a peaceful resolution, as "this is also our interest."
A similar position was expressed by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, who told the BBC that he called Zelensky twice after his conflict with Trump. "I clearly told him that we really must respect what President Trump has already done for Ukraine... I am absolutely convinced that the US wants to bring Ukraine to lasting peace. And it is important for President Zelensky to find a way to restore his relations with the American president," Rutte added.
