According to Espreso.tv: Following the death of Lindsey Graham, South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster has selected Darlene Graham Nordon to serve as interim senator until January 2027. Nordon will become the first woman to represent the state in the U.S. Senate. Her appointment has received backing from former President Donald Trump.
Graham passed away on July 11, with an aortic dissection cited as the likely cause. Governor McMaster stated that Nordon would
“finish her brother’s work.”Nordon described the role as a 'great honor' and expressed confidence that it aligns with what Graham would have wanted.
