Polish President Andrzej Duda stressed the importance of resolving issues between Poland and Ukraine, especially those related to World War II. He emphasized that his goal has always been to avoid tense relations between the two countries. The president cited the participation of President Zelensky in events dedicated to the anniversary of the Volyn massacre as a step towards mutual understanding. Also, responding to the statement of the Polish Minister of Defense that the unresolved issue of Volyn could hinder Ukraine's accession to the EU, President Duda noted that such a move would be in line with Putin's policy, which seeks to stop Ukraine's European integration.

Duda stated that there are complex issues that need to be considered, but it is important to find a common solution for the benefit of both countries and Ukraine's European integration. The Polish Sejm previously adopted a resolution on Ukraine's role in the Volyn tragedy, which occurred 80 years ago.
