The coach faced difficulties as he had to give up opportunities to return to coaching in order to achieve his goal.
His daily routine includes swimming two and a half kilometers every morning and regular cycling trips.
Evans noted that his family did not believe in his ability to stick to the new regime, but since March, he has managed to lose 41.2 kg.
“I left Rotherham and made some family decisions. Despite calls from several clubs, I chose to focus on my health.”
“I haven't done this since my time at Leeds United, so it has been many years.”
To develop his plan, Evans consulted doctors and specialists, such as a cardiologist and fitness coaches. He also emphasized that despite his family's skepticism, he managed to lose six and a half stones in seven months.
“It was extremely hard work — I swim, ride my bike, walk dogs, and take a lot of steps. I now feel the benefits on a mental and physical level.”
Fans noticed the coach’s interview and quickly began to acknowledge his achievements.
