Within two minutes, the Abrams tank received 4-6 direct hits from fiber optic FPV drones. One drone got stuck in the tank's protective mesh, while two others missed.
Thanks to the protective mesh and dynamic armor blocks, the tank proved effective in its defense and protection.
This proves the extraordinary capabilities of the Abrams tank. Such survival would have been impossible in a Russian T-series tank, the commander stated.
Although the crew left the damaged tank, the Ukrainian fighters remained unscathed due to their proactive approach to protecting the Abrams tank.
The fate of the tank itself remains unknown. It could be captured. This incident highlights the importance of modernizing military equipment to combat new threats posed by FPV drones.
The commander emphasized the need for additional protective measures and spoke about the rigorous training conducted by American instructors.
Earlier, the 12th special operations brigade 'Azov' repelled a Russian assault in the Toretsk direction. The occupiers used unconventional transport but still suffered defeat.
Additionally, the Armed Forces of Ukraine regained lost positions near Pokrovsk.
