Ex-CIA Official Warns: Ukraine's Technological Edge Is Not Permanent

According to Novyny.live: Glenn Corn, a former senior CIA official, has raised concerns about Russia’s ability to replicate Ukrainian military technologies, stressing that Ukraine must not take its technological superiority for granted. In an interview with Maria Kagal on Novyny.LIVE, he explained that Moscow is actively copying Kyiv’s battlefield innovations and continuously searching for new countermeasures.

Ihor 'Pytsia,' a drone unit commander from Ukraine’s 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, confirmed that Russian forces are working to improve the effectiveness of their own drones. This suggests that Ukraine’s technological achievements could be at risk if Russia continues upgrading its systems. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has previously stated that Russian electronic warfare (EW) systems are capable of intercepting control over Ukrainian drones, further underscoring the urgency of the issue.

“One should not assume that because Ukraine has an advantage today, it will automatically remain that way.”

Corn emphasized the importance of maintaining a technological edge and effectively disrupting Russian logistics, both of which can significantly impair the combat capability of Russian troops. His remarks highlight the critical role of the technology race in modern warfare and the growing importance of innovation in armed conflicts.

How the Tech Race Is Shaping the War

The technological competition between Ukraine and Russia is having a major impact on the course of the war, as any improvements on the Russian side could dramatically shift the balance of power. Ukraine continues to stress the importance of military innovation, which could prove decisive in future combat operations.

In an environment of constant technological evolution, it is vital for Ukraine not only to sustain its current achievements but also to more aggressively implement new solutions in order to preserve a strategic advantage on the battlefield.
