Experts invented an unexpected use for solar panels.
The French company Sunwind Energy plans to release the Delta Flore solar photovoltaic system, which combines gardening and energy generation. It is a lightweight and sturdy aluminum structure with a capacity for planting. The installation uses a bifacial technology with semi-transparent Tedlar to optimize energy efficiency and garden bed protection. It has two photovoltaic panels with a capacity of 340 W each. The manufacturer has provided the possibility of integrating the installation with other technologies. The cost of one system will be €1,190, and the warranty will last 25 years.
According to a new report by the International Energy Agency (IEA), demand growth in 2024 and 2025 will be the highest in the last two decades. The solar photovoltaic system is expected to meet half of this growth.
