Awards for the Best Hotels in Great Britain

According to The Sun: The winners have been announced in the category of 'Best Hotels in the Country', with one located in the English countryside taking home the top prize.

The AA Hospitality Awards presented the 'best and brightest in British hospitality', highlighting a wonderful hotel situated on the grounds of the historic Chatsworth House.

The Cavendish Hotel was crowned the winner in the 'Hotel of the Year' category in England.

This hotel positions itself as the perfect place for a 'villages escape', nestled within the grounds of Chatsworth estate, surrounded by picturesque fields.

The four-star hotel boasts 28 rooms, two restaurants, and stunning views of the Peak District.

Guests can stay in comfortable and spacious rooms starting from £220 per night.

Breakfast and lunches are not included in the price.

The most luxurious stay is in the 'Townhouse', which has its own private entrance.

This suite spans two floors and includes a living room, dining area, two bathrooms, and a bedroom with a king-size bed, starting from £489 per night.

At The Gallery restaurant, which has received 3 AA Rosettes, guests can enjoy dishes such as lamb, cod, or beef Wellington, as well as choose the '10 Mile Tasting Menu' consisting of five courses for £75 per person.

The Garden Room is a bright space styled like a conservatory, serving Sunday sandwiches.

Guests can enjoy afternoon tea with tiny sandwiches, scones, and a selection of teas or coffee.

During the summer months, the terrace is the perfect place for dining, offering stunning views of the green hills of Chatsworth.

Every guest staying at The Cavendish has access to the Chatsworth Health and Fitness Club, offering treatments, classes, as well as a swimming pool and gym.

For those opting for an additional package, there is an opportunity to receive a private tour of Chatsworth House – a luxurious estate built in the 1600s, also portrayed as Pemberley in the 2005 adaptation of 'Pride and Prejudice'.

This is not The Cavendish Hotel's first award; earlier this year it was also named 'Hotel of the Year' by The Times.

The publication released a list of the 100 best hotels in the country, where the hotel also took first place.

Other AA award winners include 1 Hotel Mayfair in London and St Brides Spa Hotel in Pembrokeshire.

100 Princes Street in Edinburgh received the award for the best hotel in Scotland, while The Old Inn won in County Down.

Travel reporter Kayan Fielding stopped at the award-winning 'B&B of the Year' and shared her impressions.

“25 Boutique B&B is only a few minutes from Torre Abbey Sands - 10 minutes on foot, to be exact. With such a location, it’s no surprise that the establishment won this award.”

“Inside, I was immediately welcomed by bright interiors with all the colors of the rainbow. A friendly entrance was enhanced by one of the B&B hosts who was there to greet me.”

Kayan stayed in Shoalstone Suite, located on the first floor next to a luxuriously decorated lounge with a trust bar.

The suite has a living room with an elegant sofa, a TV, a vanity, a bistro table, a kettle, and a Nespresso coffee machine – it also features a bedroom and a bathroom.

Kayan added: “There was also an Alexa setup so you could easily control the lighting and ask about the weather in the bay.”

“The B&B is a great base option for exploring the beaches of South Devon and neighboring Torquay.”

“And nearby is the best fish shop in the UK - Pier Point.”
