This is not The Cavendish Hotel's first award; earlier this year it was also named 'Hotel of the Year' by The Times.
The publication released a list of the 100 best hotels in the country, where the hotel also took first place.
Other AA award winners include 1 Hotel Mayfair in London and St Brides Spa Hotel in Pembrokeshire.
100 Princes Street in Edinburgh received the award for the best hotel in Scotland, while The Old Inn won in County Down.
Travel reporter Kayan Fielding stopped at the award-winning 'B&B of the Year' and shared her impressions.
“25 Boutique B&B is only a few minutes from Torre Abbey Sands - 10 minutes on foot, to be exact. With such a location, it’s no surprise that the establishment won this award.”
“Inside, I was immediately welcomed by bright interiors with all the colors of the rainbow. A friendly entrance was enhanced by one of the B&B hosts who was there to greet me.”
Kayan Fielding
Kayan stayed in Shoalstone Suite, located on the first floor next to a luxuriously decorated lounge with a trust bar.
The suite has a living room with an elegant sofa, a TV, a vanity, a bistro table, a kettle, and a Nespresso coffee machine – it also features a bedroom and a bathroom.
Kayan added: “There was also an Alexa setup so you could easily control the lighting and ask about the weather in the bay.”
“The B&B is a great base option for exploring the beaches of South Devon and neighboring Torquay.”
“And nearby is the best fish shop in the UK - Pier Point.”
