A £20 million updated resort opens in the UK: what to expect for tourists.
According to The Sun: The popular English resort has unveiled a grand £20 million update, which includes enormous inflatable attractions, a luxury spa, and a new sauna.
Seven Lakes Country Park in Crowle, near Scunthorpe, has been purchased by Unity Holidays, which plans significant changes to transform it into one of the best resorts in the UK.
Seven LakesThis growing company also manages Unity Beach in Somerset and Skirlington Coast in East Yorkshire. It plans to renovate the park's bar and restaurant, as well as add new water attractions for the ten freshwater lakes.
Guests can expect sailing schools, paddleboarding, a giant inflatable course for entertainment, a spa, sauna, as well as cold baths and hot tubs.
This move is part of a large £20 million investment program by Unity, which also includes significant improvements at the Skirlington Coast site. The company aims to enhance the growing popularity of domestic tourism in the UK.
About the site
The park covers 220 acres and includes 10 fishing lakes, as well as a large 40-acre water landscape.
The park offers sales and rentals of holiday homes and static caravans; the season typically runs from March to early January.
The park's woodland trails are suitable for walking and dog-friendly.
The area around Seven Lakes Country Park is surrounded by the Humberhead Peatlands – a unique landscape with restored bogs and rich history.
Crowle is a small town on the Isle of Axholme, historically a marshy area drained by Dutch engineers in the 17th century. The town has roots in the medieval period and a significant St. Oswald's church with Norman origins.
The Gothic Market Hall hosts community events, and the annual Crowle Show celebrates the agricultural heritage of the region.
The park is located next to Crowle Moors, part of a large protected area and an important wildlife habitat.
Rare plants such as heather grow in the area, along with a vibrant spectrum of insects and birds, including conifers, and lizards such as smooth snakes.

Unity Holidays CEO Dermot King shared his vision for the updated resort and plans for utilizing the investments.
“Seven Lakes is a business we have been engaged with for four weeks, and we are attracted to this region. There are already lake activities such as fishing and jet skiing, but we are implementing sailing schools and paddleboarding, as well as an inflatable course on the water.'
“We are also creating a stage by the lake, as there is a natural amphitheater at one end, allowing for live performances in the summer. We are investing in an indoor and outdoor pool, renovating leisure areas, creating a pavilion theater, and bringing our concept to life.'
“Inviting in an entertainment bar with live music and a complete refresh of the indoor bar, along with investments in outdoor terraces. We will also improve the entire food offering, as discerning customers are willing to pay for quality dining, so we will be looking for chefs.'
“We plan to set up hot tubs by the lakeside, cold baths, and the entire spa experience, which will incorporate swimming in fresh water.'
