Corbridge is only 16 miles from Newcastle and caught the attention of The Times last year due to its shopping street, which ranked fourth in the list of the most beautiful streets in the UK. This was made possible by unique independent shops and cozy cafes.

Among the shops worth visiting are Baby at the Bank with charming children's clothing, the RE shop with furniture, and Corbridge Larder, where you can taste local delicacies.

Do not overlook the ancient pub Angel of Corbridge, built in 1569, which also makes Corbridge special.

Corbridge has a rich historical heritage, with roots tracing back to the Roman period. Adjacent to the village is the famous Roman fort — Hadrian's Wall, where visitors can walk along ancient Roman streets.
