New flights to Copenhagen
According to The Sun: Thanks to new flights, traveling to Copenhagen, recognized as the happiest city in the world, will become even easier – just an hour and a half in winter time.
Norwegian Airlines has announced the expansion of its route to Copenhagen from October to January, and ticket prices will also be pleasantly surprising.
AlamyNorwegian launched flights from Newcastle to Copenhagen in May, and due to high demand, it has announced the revival of this route from October to January.
One-way direct flights start from £44 and last for one hour and 35 minutes.
Flights will begin on October 6, 2025, and will continue until January 26, 2026.
Earlier this year, Copenhagen was named the happiest city in the world.
"I spent a week, really exploring Copenhagen on my own, and it became one of my favorite European cities,"
– said travel editor assistant for The Sun, Kira Godfrey, about her impression of the Danish capital.
"Definitely, visiting Tivoli – a small amusement park that is said to have inspired Disney, is a must, as well as a trip to the Little Mermaid statue."
Kira also noted that:
"But café tours are also a must, especially in the fall for extra warmth. Stop by Atelier September for coffee and people-watching or Mad & Kaffe for brunch plates."
"I still dream about my delicious porridge from GROD, a place specializing in porridge, risotto, and congee."
For those who want to feel the Christmas atmosphere, Copenhagen will be a wonderful place with many festive markets appearing from mid-November to the end of December.
A Christmas market is held at Tivoli every year, which is also an amusement park.
One of the most famous is the market at Tivoli, where you can find food stalls, workshops, and an ice rink.
Among other attractions in Copenhagen is the waterfront area Nyhavn with colorful houses by the canal.
Main sights include Rosenborg Castle, Christiansborg, and the opera house.
