According to The Sun: A tragic event occurred in Taichung: a 22-year-old woman was accused of murder after she threw her newborn son from the eleventh floor of a residential building. The baby was born at three o'clock in the morning, when the mother, after giving birth, wrapped him in a blanket and threw him from the window.
The police state that the woman, who was identified only by her initials, was in a stressful condition at the moment of committing the crime.
An investigation into the circumstances of the case is currently underway, as well as an assessment of the woman's mental state.
This tragic incident has caused criticism and outrage in society, as the arrival of a newborn is always associated with joy and hope. Social protection services will likely take additional measures to support young mothers to prevent such cases in the future.
