Amber Lee Hughes was found guilty by the Johannesburg High Court of murder and rape of her ex-partner's daughter, Nadi-Jane Chalita. The sentencing hearing took place on October 27.
“I was overwhelmed by my difficult childhood and experiences,” Hughes said during the hearing.
