Ukraine finished in 9th place at Eurovision 2025
The final of the 69th Eurovision Song Contest took place in Basel, Switzerland. Ukraine was represented in the final by the band Ziferblat with the song 'Bird of Pray'. This was reported by 'Glavkom' referencing the live broadcast.
In the grand final of Eurovision 2025, which took place on May 17, Ukraine secured ninth place. The Ukrainian band received a total of 218 points (60 from the jury and 158 from the audience vote).
Ukraine awarded its 12 points to Germany. The score on behalf of the Ukrainian jury was announced by Jerry Heil, one of the participants of the duet with alyona alyona, which finished third at Eurovision 2024 last year.
After their performance, Ziferblat thanked Ukrainians for their support. The band’s lead vocalist loudly shouted 'Glory to Ukraine' on stage. Ziferblat was founded by twin brothers Danilo Leshchynskyi (vocalist) and Valentyn Leshchynskyi (guitarist), who were joined by drummer Fedor Khodakov.
It is worth noting that this year Austria won the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. After the completion of the two semifinals of 'Eurovision 2025', bookmakers' predictions changed slightly, but the victory was forecasted for the band KAJ from Sweden. A total of 26 countries participated in the final.
