The EU closely watches the searches at Yermak's office: what was stated in Brussels.
The situation in Ukraine is under the control of the European Union
According to ТСН: The European Union is closely monitoring the events in Ukraine, particularly the searches being conducted at the office of President Andriy Yermak.
The chief spokesperson for the European Commission, Paola Pinho, confirmed this information, stating that the European Commission is cautiously responding to news from Kyiv. She pointed out that the actions of the anti-corruption agencies 'indicate that the anti-corruption bodies in Ukraine are doing their job.'
'We will continue to closely monitor the situation'— added European Commission spokesperson Guillaume Mercier. He remarked that the investigation confirms the existence of anti-corruption bodies and their right to operate. Mercier also emphasized the importance of combating corruption for Ukraine's potential integration into the EU.
A representative of the European Commission also noted that Europe's position remains unchanged: investigations confirm the activity of anti-corruption bodies in Ukraine.
On the other hand, Poland's Minister of National Defense, Wojciech Kosiniak-Kamysz, commented on the searches at Andriy Yermak's office, noting that Warsaw's strategy to support Ukraine remains the same. However, he stressed the importance of a transparent anti-corruption policy in Ukraine.
It should be noted that on November 28, it became known that Andriy Yermak's apartment in the government district is being searched by NABU and SAP employees. The bureau confirmed that the investigative actions are sanctioned and conducted as part of the investigation. Yermak stated that he would assist in the investigative measures.
During these events, the European Union displays an active position, confirming the importance of anti-corruption measures for Ukraine's integration into the European community. Transparency and the efficiency of anti-corruption bodies continue to be in the spotlight of Ukraine's international partners, as they are crucial for further support from the EU.
