Expert warns of New Year missile strikes on Ukraine: what to expect.
According to ТСН: In the run-up to the New Year holidays or in the first days of January, there is a risk of another massive missile and combined shelling of Ukraine, particularly Kyiv. This opinion was expressed by a military-political analyst from the 'Information Resistance' group.
‘The answer is very simple - the situation (that occurred in previous New Year periods - Ed.) will repeat itself. The Russians will try to exert maximum influence on our energy system,’ the expert noted.
In his opinion, the Russians may again use combined strikes, including drones and missiles.
‘The tactics and concentration of strikes may change slightly. They may focus on the capital to fully plunge it into blackout,’ the analyst emphasized.
Shelling: how large could it be
He also believes that a possible combined strike could include various types of missiles, such as:
- 30-40 X-101 missiles
- 20-30 Kalibrs
- Several Kinzhal and ballistic missiles
- Aviation-guided missiles of X-59, X-69 type
The total number of missiles could reach around a hundred; however, the Russians are limited in resources.
Kovalенко also noted that the occupiers may intensify drone kamikaze strikes, organizing several massive attacks.
‘The Russians have accumulated them. The only problem for the Russians today is that they lack launch pads to carry out large-scale raids,’ he said.
He added that it is currently impossible to launch thousands of Shaheeds daily, as the daily production is limited to about 100 drones.
‘If we prepare, we certainly have the ability to fend off,’ he emphasized.
Moreover, the restraining factors for supplies to Ukraine may be some figures in the EU who hinder the implementation of frozen Russian assets. Unfortunately, in the EU, all decisions are made on the condition of full agreement among all countries.
Recall that earlier there were reports of the largest attack on Odesa. Residential buildings were damaged, and in most cities, power, heat, and water were lost.
In light of these threats, it is crucial to remain vigilant and prepare for possible developments. An increase in shelling during the New Year period has traditionally caused great concern, so defense readiness and partner support remain critically important for ensuring the safety of the population.
