Finland Calls an Urgent OSCE Meeting Over Russia's War Crimes.
According to inkorr.com: Finland is initiating a special OSCE meeting in response to Russia's attacks. At Ukraine's request, the country presiding over the OSCE has decided to hold a meeting of the organization's Permanent Council. According to information from Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga, the meeting will take place on September 9 at 11:00 AM Kyiv time.
The meeting will be a response to the recent massive attacks by Russia, which have resulted in numerous casualties among the civilian population and destruction. Russian crimes will not go unpunished; only consistent pressure on the aggressor, including harsh sanctions, can force Moscow to stop mimicking diplomacy and take actions to end the war.
The minister thanked Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen for her unwavering stance and quick response. It is worth noting that for the first time since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russian troops struck the building of the Cabinet of Ministers in Kyiv, but government workers were unharmed.
Attack on Kyiv
On the night of September 7, the Russian army carried out attacks on Kyiv using drones and missiles. The most affected were the Darnytskyi and Sviatoshynskyi districts. As a result of these shellings, three people were killed, including a child, and a nine-story building in the Sviatoshynskyi district was destroyed, where rescuers found the body of a deceased man.
August has been the month with the fewest territorial losses for the enemy in recent times. During this period, control was restored over 58 square kilometers of territory, and several populated areas were liberated. Meanwhile, in Donetsk region, a successful liberation operation took place in Volodymyrivka, during which the enemy was pushed back from three populated areas near Pokrovsk.
Finland has announced the convening of a special OSCE meeting at Ukraine's request in response to recent Russian attacks that resulted in casualties among civilians and destruction. The Ukrainian Foreign Minister thanked Finland for its support and assured that Russian crimes would not go unpunished.
This OSCE meeting is crucial as the international community continues to pay attention to the growing accusations of war crimes by Russia. Finland's participation in this process emphasizes the importance of supporting Ukraine on the diplomatic front. Events in Kyiv and other regions once again remind of the seriousness of the situation that requires decisive action from the global community.
