According to ТСН: On January 10, 1934, the outstanding politician and the first President of Ukraine, Leonid Makarovych Kravchuk, was born. His activities were closely related to the key events of gaining independence and building a democratic society. This year, Leonid Kravchuk would have turned 92 years old.
On Saturday morning, FC "Dynamo" (Kyiv) honored Kravchuk's memory. Baskets of flowers from the club, president Igor Surkis, and honorary UEFA member Grigory Surkis were laid at Baikove Cemetery.
“For many years, Leonid Makarovych was the head of the supervisory board of ‘Dynamo’ and a sincere friend of our club, its devoted supporter. The good memory and memories of him continue to live in our hearts,” the message says.
Also, in the context of honoring the memory, it is worth mentioning that on January 6, Ukraine honored the legendary coach Valery Lobanovsky, who would have turned 87 this year.
