Texas is swept by the cowboy boot trend: how tourists follow Beyonce's lead.
According to The Sun: The smell of fresh leather greets me before I even step in.
This is a confident confirmation of my coordinates — as if wide-brimmed cowboy hats and shiny belt buckles weren't enough.

I've already hit the fourth cowboy boot shop during my two-hour “hunt” in the South Congress area of Austin.
After Beyonce's Cowboy Carter tour took the world by storm earlier this year, it's hard to find a better time to invest in this must-have fashion item.
It's not the only reason to visit Texas — although it would be a sin to leave without a genuine pair.
I toured one of Vrbo's vacation homes of the year — Dripping Springs Social, which is located in the neighboring town of Dripping Springs, on the outskirts of Austin.
This house for 20 has received an exceptional guest rating and an excellent host who is always ready to help, providing local tips and arranging tours.
As for the interior style, there are nine modern bedrooms that are a blend of Danish and Texan with wooden furniture on leather rugs and fluffy blankets on deep leather chairs.
Wedding parties and bachelor parties are unlikely to turn down such a place, but the atmosphere is rather relaxed — a perfect spot to enjoy a beer by the open fire, a large pool, and a hot tub, all overlooking endless woods on the hillside.
Entertainment in the Barn
When you’re not enjoying the views, there is fun entertainment waiting for you in the nearby barn.
The barn has been transformed into a theater/bar/game room with classic arcade machines, a poker table, a shuffleboard, and a projector with a large screen.
My friends and I even turned the space into a massage parlor one day.
This is another perk of booking a Vrbo vacation home of the year: services like masseurs and catering can easily be arranged through the company's site.
The barn also became our dance studio, where we learned the Texas two-step — a traditional dance you’ll likely encounter in any local bar.
All of this would have been much more convenient if I had already bought my cowboy boots.
Great Selection of Cowboy Boots
South Congress isn’t the only place to buy a real pair of boots.
If you decide to visit, check out Tecovas, which fully lives up to the stereotype: in the shop you’ll see people shining shoes in the corner, and a bar in the background.
Visitors can browse the merchandise while holding whiskey if they like.
I bought my boots at Allen’s — a celebrity-favorite shop in Fredericksburg, the wine capital of the state.
This little town still retains its old-world charm: its streets are lined with stylish bars, and quiet side streets are surrounded by cute houses with porches where locals relax, sitting on swings and hiding from the summer heat.
The warm sun and mineral-rich soils provide excellent conditions for winemaking, noted by German immigrants who settled here in 1846 — many road signs are still written in German.
Winery cafes create true masterpieces, including Grape Creek, where you can book a 60-minute tour and tasting for $34 per person.

Sophie SwietochowskiIf you're looking for a bite to eat before wine, it’s worth stopping by Vaudeville in downtown — it’s a wine club, bistro, and boutique that serves fried chicken dishes with a glass of fresh white or red wine.
Of course, you can’t visit Texas without stopping by a barbecue cafe. Salt Lick BBQ, just 15 minutes drive from Dripping Springs, has become a true institution in the region.
Although I don't eat meat, I was impressed by the huge grill filled with roasted meats — from pork to ribs and sausages, all cooking over a blazing fire.
For a remarkably low price of $32.95 per person, you get a family-style meal with unlimited servings of certain meats and sides.
If meat isn’t your thing, tex-mex is another staple of this state. At Guero’s Taco Bar on South Congress in Austin, you can enjoy a vibrant atmosphere and a delicious menu.
They offer tequila in various varieties and excellent margaritas to sip with spicy fajitas, burritos, and queso cheese.
Your dinner here is quite different from what you’d find in Mexico City, but still remains delicious.
If your appetite isn't quenched yet, you should go out and have some fun.
You don’t need to search for a place to do this on Google — I just followed the music echoing from one of the nearby bars.
You’ll be glad for your cowboy boots when you’re stomping your feet to the rhythm like a true local.
