According to The Financial Times, the United States offered Ukraine a deal regarding rare earth metals. U.S. President Donald Trump wants access to these resources in exchange for military and economic assistance. This proposal aligns with the strategy developed by Ukraine to expand cooperation with the Trump administration and provide the U.S. access to key high-tech minerals.

A person close to Zelensky stated that Trump's statements are 'similar to the 'victory plan' that was presented to him last fall.'

Ukraine has offered the U.S. 'special conditions' for cooperation on key resources and protection from Russia and Iran. A Zelensky associate stated that Ukraine is ready to work with America.

Trump's plan, presented to Zelensky last fall, includes exchanging natural resources with Western partners, replacing American troops with Ukrainian ones in Europe, and the possibility of blocking Chinese interests in Ukraine by Trump.

Ukraine has significant reserves of titanium, iron ore, coal, and lithium. However, part of these resources may be lost due to Russian aggression in the east of the country.

Zelensky emphasized that the reserves of critical resources and Ukraine's potential in energy and food production are one of Russia's key targets. Ukraine offers the U.S. and other partners a deal for joint protection of resources and economic potential.

According to some experts, Ukraine does not have significant reserves of rare earth metals and imports them instead. Moreover, many deposits require complex enrichment and geological exploration technologies that demand substantial investment.

Trump stated that 'progress' has been made regarding the resolution of the war and there is interest in rare earth metals in Ukraine.
