The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine officially expressed its position regarding blogger and volunteer Serhiy Sternenko, emphasizing the importance of volunteer assistance and reminding citizens of their constitutional duties.
According to the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the military leadership highly appreciates the contribution of volunteers in the fight against Russian aggression, particularly in providing military units with unmanned aerial vehicles. The effective cooperation of Serhiy Sternenko with the armed forces is noted.
However, the military command emphasizes that the issue of citizen mobilization falls within the competence of territorial centers for recruitment and social support. These centers are authorized to summon citizens for data collection, medical examinations, and mobilization.
The General Staff also notes that a significant number of public activists and volunteers are already part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, fulfilling their constitutional duty. The military leadership emphasizes that unity and consolidation of society are the key to victory over the Russian aggressor.
Earlier, the Odesa Territorial Center for Recruitment published its official position regarding Sternenko's case. Sternenko also expressed his position on the situation.
