Geopolitical Shift: Algeria Replaces Russia with China in the Naval Sector.

Algeria's naval forces have decided to purchase six Chinese 056-class corvettes instead of Russian patrol and missile corvettes. Algeria began diversifying its fleet by ordering its first Chinese 056-class corvette back in 2021. Following the successful delivery of the vessel in 2023, Algeria decided to order six more such corvettes and turn away from Russian ships.
