Hero of Ukraine shared an unusual adventure at the front

Major Yevhen Gromadskyi, known by the nickname 'Grom', recounted an incredible story that happened to him during the war. In an interview on the channel 'Viddushivdushu', he mentioned that he met his classmate while cleaning the village.

According to 'Grom', his classmate played the Russian anthem in class back in 2014.

All the children in the school are the children of military personnel from this unit, and the teachers are the wives or parents of those serving in this unit. The town is two by two kilometers. In 2015, Grom's classmate's family moved to Russia, while he entered a military university.

They met for the second Time during the full-scale war in Kharkiv region. Grom and his comrades were cleaning the village, where they found the occupiers. After the combat actions, Grom found documents and discovered that one of the dead was his classmate.

His father was a brigade commander, and his mother held leading positions as a radio telephonist. They lived in this town for 15 years

Hero of Ukraine, Major Yevhen Gromadskyi, began his journey in the war against Russia in 2022 in Kharkiv region. In March 2022, he commanded a platoon that held back a Russian column on the bypass road of Kharkiv. They managed to protect the city. Yevhen is the son of Colonel Oleg Gromadskyi, who also fought in Kharkiv region but was killed in battle against the Russians.

Grom continued his father's work and fought on various sections of the front. For effective completion of tasks, particularly in Kharkiv region, he was awarded the Hero of Ukraine with the Order of 'Golden Star'.

He received this title at the age of 21, becoming the youngest Hero in the history of Ukraine.

Previously, 'Grom' confessed his miserable moments. He also explained why he regrets surviving.

The commander of the Buk-M1 anti-aircraft missile division, Yaroslav Melnyk, emphasized that the age of the soldiers coming to his unit exceeds 35 years, while there are significantly fewer young boys.
