Hero of Ukraine reveals what impressed him the most in Kursk region.
The commander of the reconnaissance company, Hero of Ukraine Yuri Zhukovets, reported that the population of the Kursk region did not resist when the Armed Forces entered. He also noted that there was spreading of Russian propaganda in this region. The military said this in an interview with Glavkom.
Our heroic people were able to hold back the enemy at the beginning of the war. But when we arrived in Kursk, the residents did not resist', - Zhukovets noted.
In addition, Yuri Zhukovets emphasized that there was a lot of Russian propaganda in Kursk. It was placed on poles and public transport stops.
'There is a lot of propaganda in the Kursk region. You come to a settlement, and in the middle of the street there is a metal hexagon with agitation materials on both sides. Poles and public transport stops are also painted over with propaganda', - said the Hero of Ukraine.
In addition, posters with propaganda were found in the occupiers' bunkers: 'Got into the enemy bunker, and there is a poster with a Russian soldier who voluntarily left his unit. The poster reads: 'Russian soldier, remember! Unauthorized leaving of the unit - up to 10 years in prison...'. In general, they are very actively engaged in propaganda', - noted Zhukovets.
It is worth noting that Russian President Vladimir Putin is trying to take the Kursk region from the Armed Forces before the inauguration of the US President-elect Donald Trump, that is, before January 20. This was reported by The Telegraph.
In addition, Russia has gathered about 50,000 soldiers in the Kursk region, including North Koreans. They are preparing for offensive actions. This was reported by The New York Times.
