Strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine Reduced Russia's GDP by 4%: Which Objects Suffered the Most.
Since the beginning of 2025, Ukrainian military forces have inflicted losses on Russia amounting to over 4% of its gross domestic product. The most affected were oil refineries and storage facilities.
Deep Strikes on Russia
Since the beginning of the year, the following objects within Russia have been hit:
- Oil refineries - 42%;
- Storage facilities - 37%;
- Oil pumping stations - 10%;
- Terminals and ports - 7%;
- Others - 4%.
Regarding the depth of strikes:
- 500-1000 kilometers - 39.22%;
- 200-500 kilometers - 37.25%;
- 0-200 kilometers - 13.73%;
- over 10000 kilometers - 9.8%.
'Every tenth strike occurred at a depth of over a thousand kilometers from the state border of Ukraine'
Losses in Russia's GDP
In the Strategic Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it was noted that the losses in Russia's GDP amount to 4.11% on an annual equivalent, which is 74.1 billion dollars.
Moreover, it should be noted that the Ukrainian military conducted a strike on the marine port 'Ol' in the Astrakhan region of Russia and on the oil pumping station 'Unecha' in the Bryansk region.
Since the beginning of 2025, the Ukrainian military has been quite successful in striking industrial facilities within Russia, leading to impressive losses in the Russian GDP. The main objects that suffered are oil refineries and storage facilities. Additionally, it is noted that the strikes were carried out at a significant distance from the border with Ukraine, indicating strategic planning and execution of military operations.
