The Head of Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration Explained the 'Energy Phenomenon' of the Region.

The head of Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, Vitalii Bunechko, explained that thanks to the professionalism of the leadership and various approaches to power outages, the Zhytomyr region managed to avoid large-scale power cuts. He mentioned that regional services accused them of 'incorrect power outages,' but the outages occurred just like in other regions of Ukraine.
According to Bunechko, the Zhytomyr region adhered very strictly to power outage schedules and fulfilled them. He emphasized that this was achieved thanks to the professionalism of the regional services. The head of the regional administration also highlighted the participation of city mayors in the power outage process, making Zhytomyr a region that was not cut off.
Additionally, during blackouts, Zhytomyr region sometimes provided support to Kyiv by shutting down electricity at its enterprises so that residents of the Kyiv region could have light a little longer. However, currently, there is no separate plan for such support with the onset of cold weather.
The first frosts are forecasted in certain regions of Ukraine, but energy experts are confident that this will not lead to the resumption of electricity outage schedules. The Ministry of Energy refuted the UN's forecast about the duration of power outages in winter, ranging from 4 to 18 hours per day.
