According to The Sun: Gordon Ramsay is opening the Pasta Bar restaurant, which has earned a Michelin star in Los Angeles, in the United Kingdom. However, visitors should hurry if they want to visit it.

The Pasta Bar will appear in the UK on October 6 and will remain for two weeks as a temporary project.

Features of the restaurant

This prestigious establishment, led by chef couple Philip Frankland Lee and Margarita Kalas-Lee, is known for its omakase style—a Japanese approach where chefs create a personalized seasonal tasting menu for guests.

The Pasta Bar will be located in Pizza East, Ramsay's pizzeria in Shoreditch, where the team of chefs adapts fine dining to the cozy setting of East London.

The Los Angeles location of Pasta Bar has held a Michelin star since 2021 and offers visitors 10 dishes prepared and served right before their eyes.

Although the menu for the pop-up restaurant in the UK has not yet been confirmed, guests will be able to choose from à la carte dishes or a four-course tasting menu. Some dishes from Los Angeles, such as king crab ravioli and iberian pork cutlet, hint at potential offerings in London.

Dishes will be served alongside a customized cocktail menu, influenced by American and Italian cuisine.

Philip and Margarita will also appear in Ramsay's new series on Apple TV+, titled 'Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars', which premieres on October 10.

This announcement comes after the famous chef announced the opening of the first Hell's Kitchen restaurant in the UK.

The new establishment will be located in the Cumberland hotel in Marble Arch and will be the first of its kind in the UK, joining prominent locations in Miami, Las Vegas, and Ibiza.

Hell's Kitchen is described as “an immersion into a culinary experience,” where visitors can watch the cooking process.

Ramsay's team promises plenty of “theatre and performance” during the food preparation.

The menu is likely to include American classics, such as seared foie gras, fried scallops, steaks, lamb cutlets, and Ramsay's iconic roast beef, along with special dishes that will only appear in the UK.

The restaurant will create a more relaxed atmosphere, situated alongside Ramsay's Bread Street Kitchen rather than elite establishments like Petrus or Restaurant Gordon Ramsay.

While the television show Hell's Kitchen is still airing in the US, the British version has not been broadcast since 2009. The new restaurant may give fans a chance to enjoy the atmosphere of the legendary show.
