Power Outage Schedules Return: What We Know.
Implementation of energy consumption restrictions in all regions of Ukraine
On Monday, November 18, consumption restriction measures will be enforced in all regions. This is reported by 'Ukrenergo'.
From 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, two phases of outages will be in effect simultaneously.
The reason for the temporary return of restrictions is damage to energy facilities during today's massive missile and drone attack.
Energy workers are working to eliminate the consequences of the accident to restore the equipment damaged by the enemy as soon as possible, as assured by 'Ukrenergo'.
The company also urged Ukrainians not to turn on several powerful electrical appliances at the same time.
It is worth noting that due to the Russian attack, the energy infrastructure of Ukraine was damaged early in the morning on November 17. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported a decrease in electrical capacity at Ukrainian nuclear power plants.
Meanwhile, MP from the 'Servant of the People' faction, member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy and Housing and Communal Services Serhiy Nahorniak stated that Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin did not achieve his goal of plunging Ukraine into darkness.
The night and morning passed relatively easily for the energy infrastructure.
As is known, in the morning of November 17, Russian occupation forces launched a mass firing of missiles of various types. According to Zelensky's statement, Russia launched about 120 missiles and 90 drones, and air defense forces shot down more than 140 aerial targets. The Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Halushchenko later stated that Russian terrorists were attacking energy system facilities across the country with missiles. Emergency power outages have been introduced.
