“These days were a real ordeal, during which I experienced humiliation and violence,” she noted.

Thunberg became one of 437 individuals detained after attempts to head to Gaza on the 'Freedom Flotilla'. Many of these people shared similar stories of mistreatment by the authorities.Thunberg's detention drew attention to issues related to human rights and freedom of speech during protests.
